Proud to Cheer on Our Local Olympians!

Local skiers Patrick Deneen of Cle Elum and Yina Moe-Lange of Sammamish, both of whom have strong ties to The Summit, are set to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Twenty-two-year-old Deneen, a medal favorite, is a member of the U.S. Olympic ski team who grew up skiing at The Summit, including many years training on the steeps of Summit Central’s Triple 60 face. Patrick is set to compete in moguls on February 14th, Patrick earned a gold medal in the same event during the 2009 Worlds.

Sixteen-year-old Moe-Lange, a member of the Danish Olympic ski team, has been training with Team Alpental Snoqualmie (TAS) at The Summit since 2005. A promising young ski racer, Yina tops the American junior rankings in giant slalom for her age group. She will compete in giant slalom on February 24th and slalom on February 26th.
